Yeah, it’s weird to be raised like that in South Carolina.

As some one who lives in NJ this is pretty legit, we even curse at each other for cursing so much.

motherfuck yeah, ohio!

literally everyone in nj curses you cannot escape

its tru tho we curse like every other fuckin word man it is some crazy shit like you really have to be mindful of what youre saying so you dont accidentally say christopher columbus was a shitsack in social studies

FUCK YEAH
although i find it funny that we are also considered one of the more polite states!

i live in arizona. they never curse. … so i curse for them, those stupid fuckers

It’s because I’m a motherfucking Cleveland Browns fan, god fucking dammit. I mean, what the fuck? How can I not be pissed as fucking shit all the time with sports teams like that?! Also, I say my god damn please and thank you’s like nobody’s business. So, fuck this graphic. People being angry about ~dem gays~ on Target’s Facebook.

I just want to give my two cents on this and tell you a story.

A couple weeks ago, I was hired at Target. I have a job at Target. Not a big deal right?

It is a big deal because i’m a transman

It doesn’t take a genius to conclude that it’s hard for me, my brothers, and sisters to get a job. There are legal restraints regarding the job and if you don’t pass, it’s hard to be taken seriously at a job interview.

Right on the application, it asks what your preferred name is. It also asks if there is anything that target should know. I put the fact that I am a transman, expecting not to get a call because usually when you put that down, people will throw out the application. I got TWO interviews.

At the interview, they asked me about it. I told them I am on hormones and they told me that they didn’t care. Not in the sense that they don’t emotionally care, but that it didn’t matter. I was male and that’s all that mattered. They also told me that they give sex same couples benefits in states that do not recognize them as a married couple.

At my job orientation, I was not misgendered once. Even my supervisors who weren’t sure of my gender avoided pronoun use, which I found only happens when you’ve had pronoun training. They gave me a name tag with my preferred name and didn’t ask questions. I felt safe and respected, which is huge for a trans* person.

TLDR: Target is amazing not just for the LGB, but also the T. Shop there for the rest of your life.

Target has had its share of problems, but their willingness to hire LGBT folks has always impressed me. I live in an area with a large LGBT community - all four of the letters well-represented. And the staff at my local Target reflects that. It’s so nice and sadly unexpected to see large companies stepping up like that.

Introducing Kepler-62: A Star System With Two Earths?
Two Earth-sized planets have been discovered orbiting Kepler-62, a star approximately 1,200 light-years away, inside its habitable zone. Which, quite frankly, is bonkers.

Interal, External, Homegrown, Foreign, what have you…

Fuck whatever individual, group, or organization is responsible for the Boston Marathon bombing. And fuck glorifying those pieces of inhumane shit.

I want to applaud, cheer on, hug, and thank all of the brave individuals and groups THAT RAN TOWARD THE EXPLOSIONS TO HELP ABSOLUTE STRANGERS. People can be so amazing sometimes. Runners are some of the most dedicated and brave people one could ever know. Regardless of who may be responsible, seeing how people responded to a terrifying crisis gives me hope in what the human race is capable of. We are not inherently evil. We are brave, strong, intelligent… If only those heroic actions could be prevalent in every day life.
